Saturday's Race...
Can I participate in Saturday's race if I'm not a member yet? I think someone told me they have application forms at Redbud. There isn't any membership information on the web site (that I could find).
It looks like I'll have to launch at Allen's Point since it is the only ramp available (let me know if there is another ).
My wife and kids are going to be out of town so I was planning to spend the weekend on the boat. The race sounds like a fun time. Since I haven't raced before I'll be doing less racing and more staying out of harms way

You can participate in a fun race once without being a member. You would need to be a member to participate in a series race. The long distance races are over now, we have some small boat races next month (August) for Sunfish, Lazers, etc. You can crew on someone elses boat with no problems, there is always need for crew. The next series race starts in Sept.
Sorry I didn't respond earlier, I had gotten out of the habit of checking this board as there has not been much participation.
